We warmly invite participation by mathematical scientists from Australia and overseas. Students are also very welcome, and are encouraged to give talks. The B.H. Neumann Prize will be awarded for the best student talk. The program comprises public lectures, plenary talks and keynote speakers in general and special sessions. Official business of the Australian Mathematical Society will be conducted shortly before the conference and on the evening of Thursday September 29. There is a mudmap of conference venues, and other useful information, at the beginning of the printed abstracts booklet (late changes will be listed elsewhere).
The opening is from 10:00-11.00am on Tuesday September 27, in the Weatherburn Lecture Theatre of the UWA School of Mathematics and Statistics. During the opening, the Australian Mathematical Society Medal for 2005 will be awarded, and there will be discussion of two issues of great concern to many Australian mathematicians (feedback will be sought later in the week).
All participants must register, including Public Lecturers, Plenary Speakers, Keynote Speakers, Special Session Organsers, Committee Members, UWA staff and postgraduates; also
