Description This unit is equivalent to TEE Calculus. Topics are complex numbers, limits and rates of change, derivatives, maxima and minima, integrals, exponential and logarithm functions, three-dimensional analytic geometry and vectors. Assessment This comprises an end-of-semester examination and in-semester tests and assignments. All assessment tasks require students to apply their knowledge of the unit content to solve previously unseen problems. In all written assessed work, credit is given for clarity and correctness of presentation as well as for actual results.Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's degree student who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete the course. |
