Description

This unit begins by discussing the basic nature and properties of fluids (gases and liquids) and the mathematical concepts used to produce the fundamental set of differential equations used to model fluid behaviour. Applications are chosen from the very large number of possible topics, according to the interests and needs of the students. Some examples are theory of flight; weather and climate modelling; and industrial processes.
