We run a mathematics competition and enrichment program for high school students.

Mathematics competitions, prizes and awards

• WA Junior Mathematics Olympiad (WAJO) - held on the last Saturday of October each year for Year 8 and 9 students. The best-performing students are invited to participate in the Academy for Young Mathematicians.
• Special WA Mathematical Olympiads Committee Award - awarded at the WAJO closing presentation ceremony.
• Phill Schultz Prize - awarded at the WAJO closing presentation ceremony.

Mathematics enrichment program

• Academy for Young Mathematicians - for Year 11, 10 and advanced Year 9 students, running from March through until November each year.

Interested in visiting?

• The School of Mathematics and Statistics is happy to host visits by groups of school students.
