Special WA Mathematical Olympiads Committee Award

The Special WA Mathematical Olympiads Committee Award is intended as an occasional award, presented only when exceptional circumstances arise.

In 2007, two WA students, Ferris Xu and Jason Kong, achieved High Distinctions in the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad and significant results in the Senior Mathematics Contest as Year 10 students. They were invited to the School of Excellence, Australia's training school for the International Mathematics Olympiad, as juniors.

These Special WA Mathematical Olympiads Committee Awards are awarded at the closing presentation ceremony of the WA Junior Mathematics Olympiad (WAJO).
