That's Judd with a J, not Rudd with an R.
Yes, I know I have updated my home page, it is not as deliberately ugly as the previously, but I have kept the pictures of myself.
This is what I do:
I work in the area of dynamical systems theory, optimization and computer aided teaching.
My research is generally in the area of dynamical systems theory and optimization. For example: the reconstruction of nonlinear dynamical systems from time series, in particular the application of Minimum Description Length, and variable embedding; The theory of indistinguishable states and shadowing trajectories and its application to state estimation and ensemble forecasting, especially in very high dimensional systems like the atmosphere. (See publications links above.)
In 1995 I developed the CalMæth for web-based teaching of mathematics and statistics. This was joint work with Dr. Nathan Scott and Prof. Brian Stone of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
In 1999 I developed Systemics a teaching and research tool for Functional Systemic Grammar with Dr. Kay O'Halloran of the Department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore.
This is me when I'm really happy. Notice how white hot my brain
is, no wonder my hair is falling out.
